Davening Shachris before Nerz
תשובה מס׳ 6נענה י״ד שבט תשפ״ו
שאלה
Sholom ubrocho,
It is common practice that ppl daven shachris before netz. Is this ideal? Iow, someone that could arrange his work schedule, would it not be better for him to daven after netz?
Why is it different than mariv, when our minhag is not to daven early?
Shkoiach,

Davening before Netz is certainly not ideal and is only permitted in extenuating circumstances (שעת הדחק), in which case it is permitted even לכתחילה. It is in fact different than Mariv: not davening Mariv early is merely a chumra/minhag, while not davening before Netz except in שעה"ד is a clear halacha. Nevertheless, a work schedule that doesn't permit davening after Netz is certainly a שעת הדחק, which then permits davening from the time of משיכיר.
